LIGHT BEARING IWB HOLSTER

BLUF, My personal opinion is DARA has the overall best holsters I have used to date. I am a Army Special Forces BG (retired) with over 36 years of experience so I feel have some small amount of knowledge on weapons and related topics as a whole. Before ordering from DARA, I did extensive research on the topic of appendix holsters both red dot optic and weapon light capable. It seems appendix carry is a new hot topic and it interested me for numerous reasons. I have carried many brands of OWB and IWB holsters and I always had concerns about retention, access and printing. I made the decision to purchase both an OWB and IWB holster. Also, upon the recommendation from a DARA product technician, I purchased (2) CORE belts made exclusively for pistol carry. It turned out to be an exceptional product as well and enhances the effectivness of any IWB or OWB holster. Initially, I had concerns about the comfort level in both standing and more importantly sitting positions for appendix carry. However, after getting the holster and belt adjusted properly and actually wearing it, I am surprisingly amazed. As hard as it is to believe, it is not "uncomfortable". Now it is not comfortable in what I would call comfortable.To me, it feels "unnormal "to say the least and I had concern of having an AD which by the way would make my Wife very unhappy. As with any weapon usage, it is critical to train, train and train more. Be sure to give ample time for withdrawing and holstering the pistol from various positions. I found in sitting down, pulling outwards on the holster from your body, then after sitting , reposition the holster/belt to where it is most comfortable on your abdomen. As l said, it is more then tolorable, has limited print based on shirt type/size, (use common sense) and allows unrestrictive acces. Bottom line, for me, this product is a GO and I would feel comfortable to provide it for the Men and Women under my command. These products are not be for everyone, but if you are unhappy with your purchase DARA has a life time warranty. By the way, I am not compensated from DARA in any way for writing this review. I hope my words aid you in your personal decision in purchasing a holster. The holster is for more important then most people realize. It is the link between your body and the pistol. There’s a reason why this is my fourth Dara holster, the quality of their holsters are second to none. The outstanding craftsmanship that goes into the creation of these holsters is amazing. The holster is sturdy, also comfortable and will keep your firearm secure. I will definitely be purchasing another in the near future!

Like it so much, I'm getting ready to order the OWB version. Feels like the Kydex is a little thicker than other Kydex holsters I own. Quick turn around.

This is the third IWB Holster I’ve ordered from Dara. I’m very happy with all three of them. This one is extremely comfortable, especially considering I have a TLR-1 weapon light attached to my Glock 23 that I carry in this holster. Prior to getting this holster, I was carrying in a Raven Arms IWB Light Bearing Holster. The Raven arms is a good holster, but the Dara far surpasses it for comfort and retention. I will continue using Dara for future holster purchases.

I have a Bravo Concealment and it digs into my thigh so wondering if this would be better

I own the Walther PDP 4.0 I'm running a Holosum rmr with TLR 8(light and laser combo). The only option that was given was for the TLR 7. I ordered it with the 7 option hoping it was going to fit. Unfortunately it does NOT fit.
