Wait Time: Our current lead time as of 5/10/2019 is 2 days. During the Holidays or during a Sale, our lead time may increase due to higher volume. If you need your item(s) by a certain date, please order a couple of weeks in advance (before the date you need your item(s)) and allow time for the holster to be made. Pre-Orders have no specific ETA.
Stages of Production:
-Once your order is submitted, you will receive an automated confirmation e-mail with your order details and order number.
-When we print out your work order, typically within 1 day, you will receive an e-mail stating the status of your order has changed. The lead time is due to the large amount of orders we have. We process all orders in the order in which they were received. We have 16 people working 6 days a week to keep the wait time to a minimum.
-By the time your order has begun production we have already quality checked the order, looking for any errors in the options or set ups that won't work. We have also prepped the firearm mold to accommodate your set up. This is the most important part of making your holster and what sets Dara Holsters apart. Every order is different, meaning this mold has to be broken down and redone for every order. Please be patient during this time.
-Once the order is molded it goes through its' second quality check to ensure that it is the correct firearm, color, ride height and cant angle.
-After it passes QC the order is cut down to size.
-After the items are "roughed in" they go to our edge finishing department to get the smooth edges that Dara is famous for. This step also takes time, but makes the wait worth it! Most companies will sand the sharp edges and call it a day- not us. We go the extra mile.
-Once all items are edge finished they go through a third quality check. If the items pass QC, assembly begins.
-After assembly the items are quality checked a fourth time by a technician to make sure the muzzle coverage, after market add-ons and flares are all correctly accommodated as specified on your order.
-Once everything is assembled a final quality check is conducted to make sure everything makes it into the package.
Orders may run later than the expected wait time for various reasons. If this is the case with your order, you will be notified and provided with the reason for the delayed shipment. Reasons for order delays are listed below:
- Holster did not pass a quality check and needs to be remade or altered
- We are awaiting customer response regarding problem with order
- Waiting on a mold/magazine/light attachment
- Item is very custom and requires extra care and fit testing
- Ran out of materials (it happens!)

Please be aware that some custom orders may take longer than others. If you have a rail mounted light attachment or if you require a Level II or higher holster, please expect to wait the full lead time, possibly longer.
